Psychotherapy & EMDR

Our experiences live not only in the mind, but also in the body and nervous system. Therapy offers space to gently explore your inner world - including thoughts, emotions, body sensations, patterns of relating, and nervous system responses - as pathways toward greater awareness, healing, and reconnection.

I offer a collaborative and personalised approach to therapy where you remain in control of the pace and process. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Therapy may be short or longer term depending on your needs, interests, and goals.

You may be seeking support for:

  • anxiety and stress

  • depression

  • PTSD and complex trauma

  • persistent pain

  • chronic fatigue

  • insomnia

  • dissociation

  • relationship difficulties

  • life transitions, meaning, and direction

My Approach

I offer trauma-informed psychodynamic psychotherapy grounded in The Conversational Model, an approach designed to support restoration of the sense of self that can become impacted through trauma, difficult relationships, and overwhelming life experiences.

Alongside talk therapy, I integrate a mind-body approach informed by neuroscience, attachment theory, and trauma theory. This includes working with nervous system regulation, embodied awareness, and the foundations of safety both within ourselves and in relationship with others.

I believe, alongside contemporary trauma research, that the body and brain hold an inherent capacity for healing when offered the right conditions of safety, support, curiosity, and connection.

Depending on your needs and interests, sessions may include embodied and experiential practices such as:

  • breathwork and mindfulness

  • somatic tracking

  • yoga-based practices

  • Trauma Resiliency Model skills

  • EMDR for trauma and persistent pain

  • Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) principles

These practices can support deeper connection with your internal experience and strengthen your capacity for regulation, presence, and self-understanding.

The two most important phrases in therapy, as in yoga, are -

“Notice that”

“What happens next?”

Once you start approaching your body with curiosity rather than with fear, everything shifts.
